What is STAR?

STAR (Statistical Tool for Analysing Rehabilitation) is a database that has been developed using Microsoft Access to support the audit and analysis of information for health professionals involved in the care of people with chronic lung disease. It is intended primarily as a tool for health professionals involved in pulmonary rehabilitation but could be used in other clinical contexts also.

STAR enables the clinician to collect patient assessment data over the patient's journey through the rehabilitation process.

STAR has a facility for the automatic scoring of two disease specific questionnaires (the Breathing Problems Questionnaire and the Chronic Respiratory Questionnaire) and can also be used to create discharge reports and letters.
